Today’s thought

There is power in listening. The Shunamite listened to Elisha so she escaped from the famine in the land. (2 Kings 8) The man who was by the pool for 38 years listened to Jesus so that he could be healed. Be a listener! God has a special message to you today!

Today’s thought…

Isaiah 58:9b – 14

“If you do away with yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will rise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

The thought for the day..
A gentile Moabite woman Ruth lying at the feet of a Israelite Boaz and he tells her in Ruth 2:10 "May you be blessed of the LORD, my daughter. You have shown your last kindness to be better than the first by not going after young men, whether poor or rich.
11“Now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you whatever you ask, for all my people in the city know that you are a woman of excellence."

Today’s world must have called her all names; and would have ex-communicated him. But 1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I thank God that I have found a great Boaz who has received me and redeemed me in spite of my race, color and character. That’s why I love HIM and worship HIM all the time. I am greatly and humbly obliged to HIM whose Name is JESUS CHRIST, MY SAVIOR AND MY REDEEMER.

Today’s thought

Wise woman builds her home
Foolish woman destroys her home
Wise man increase his security of life
Foolish one brings punishment for himself
Wise people benefit themselves from their good choices
Foolish people bring trouble to their own head and do self-destruction

The ultimate choice is ours!
