Phoenix, the capital of Arizona
which is the South western state of United Sates. For the
last decade, this Metropolitan city has witnessed a huge
growth in their socio, cultural development. There is a huge and
dramatic increase in the Indian population for the last one decade
which brings the true taste of the land of India.
The Pastor and International Assembly of God volunteers are
committed to assist the new immigrants in everything and everywhere.
We have even bought a 15 passenger van to pick up the families
from the airport, find them the right apartment, help processing
the social security card and any other services they require
to be settled down. You may please contact one of our staff
or send an email to the Pastor.

Church Building, Age often allows for ease in success and
such is the case for International Assembly of God,
Arizona’s first church for the East Indian
community in Arizona. IAG has served the Valley
since 1997 with the vision of Pastor Roy Cheriyan,
who was called into ministry in Arizona while
studying in Bible college in Chicago, Illinois.
The church had its modest beginnings in a
Sunday school classroom at Living Water of the
Valley church for the initial five years. As
expansion led to a need for a larger building, IAG
rented a storefront in Tempe and begin to grow
exponentially. However, after three years, the
church felt it could no longer continue to restrain
the budding church to the small confines of the
storefront. God opened up the possibility of sharing
a church building with Sonrise Assembly of God in
Gilbert. With this move, the church spent three
marvelous years as the church grew in population,
structure and worship.
In the three years at Sonrise, the
church brought to the Lord and baptized a number
of individuals, redefined its Sunday school
program, established cell groups that meet
throughout the week, continued its focus on strong
Spirit-led worship, and developed the youth and
children to become acclaimed as a successful group
in their church-related activities within the state,
regionally and nationally.
The church now numbers
at almost 40 families. International AG also began
planning for extensions in Las Vegas, the western
Phoenix area and Tucson. The Las Vegas ministry
was implemented this year and it is blessing the
South Indians there.
As the church’s vision grew, so did its desire
for a building to call its own. For some time, the
church had been raising money and actively
searching for an ideal place of worship. A wonderful
opportunity came through an existing church
building just up the road. IAG bought an older
building for $440,000, which has ample room for a
growing body, but the building needs renovation.
IAG’s members, mainly compromised of
immigrants who have come from India in the last
couple of years, have sacrificially donated $150,000
for the down payment and initial costs for the
building. The church needs another $75,000 for
multiple items of construction, furniture and other
utilities within the building, as well as the paving of
the parking lot.
Please partner with IAG as it desires to
reach the Indian community better with its own
church building.Send your tax deductible
