International Assembly of God is the first church for the East Indian community in Arizona. IAG, AZ has served the Valley since 1997 with the vision of Pastor Roy Cheriyan. Our congregation is made up of believers who speak a wide variety of languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and English.
IAG has three well-qualified Associate Pastors, three Elders, Deacons, and other ministry volunteers to accommodate the spiritual needs of our community.
Four years ago, we bought a large facility of our own with a sanctuary that holds more than two hundred seats, a fellowship hall that can hold one hundred fifty seats or more, a commercial kitchen, a nursery to accommodate young children, and several classrooms for our Sunday School program.
We are a very Spirit-filled and Spirit-led church. We teach about the Bible in depth and have vibrant worship teams for Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and English.
We have a wonderful Sunday School program for kids of all ages, including college-level youth. These kids also participate in Bible Quiz. We have talented Pee-Wee Bible Quiz teams, and our Junior and Teen Bible Quiz teams compete at state, regional and national championships, bringing home victories and awards for the past several years.
Our youth meet monthly to have fellowship with one another, hosting worship nights, having discussions on issues we face in today’s world, and having fun participating in recreational activities with each other.
We have bi-weekly ladies’ prayer meetings in various homes to pray for the generation and the nations.
We also have a ministry called AGORA, with its purpose being to reach out to the international students of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Our team gathers weekly to pray and prepare and has bi-weekly prayer meetings on the ASU campus. Our team also helps students with personal or financial needs and participates in recreational activities with them.
Our church is a tight-knit community, a family of sisters and brothers striving to serve the Lord. We live by God’s Word, celebrate our God-given talents when participating in extracurricular activities, and involve ourselves in ministry to serve God and His people. To those interested in visiting or joining our church, we welcome you with open arms.
