International Assembly of God was planted in Phoenix, Arizona in August, 1997 with a vision of Pastor Roy Cheriyan who was then a Bible School student in Chicago, when the migrants from India were very negligible in the state. The church is founded on Jesus Christ the eternal Rock . We are committed to - the sound Pentecostal doctrines, the great vision & passion for saving souls by exemplifying the love of Christ and interceding for the needy.

We welcome all language groups from India. We practice a very lively praise & worship in Malayalam & English. Also, we try and accommodate Hindi & Tamil songs for our multi-linguistic congregation members. Presently we have attendees from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bhopal, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra etc.

We conduct Sunday school for all age groups with a very systematic curriculum. One of our Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) members, Christy Thomas was the recipient of a best quizzer award for the 2006-07 season. Our Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ) team was placed second in the state of Arizona for the 2006-07 season. They went on to compete in the Regional (western states) last year. Our youth group is vibrant & has been an encouragement for others in their own age group. They do have youth meetings every month which include fasting prayers and intercessory prayer times. This year, we have 2 teams for TBQ and our young men and women are memorizing each chapter of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians & Philemon. Also, our JBQ has 2 teams this year and are top-notch matching with other churches in their deep knowledge of the word of God.

To be “A lamp in the darkness”, we are hosting “Kids Fun Club” at 4 pm on Saturdays, in our church in Gilbert, focusing on the East Valley neighborhoods. We have various fun activities for the kids at the same time focusing more into learning the Word through Sunday School classes.

At the same time, we have a Bible learning session for the adults. Our Pastor teaches from the book of Revelation every Thursday during our Mesa/Gilbert cell group meeting.

In the early part of 2008, our church will be launching new extensions in West Valley of Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas.

The vision and mission of the church is very simple – “To plunder hell and populate Heaven” - be a soul winning church. Our mission is to reach out to the people and spread the life changing gospel to the whole world. Our congregation comprises of new born Christians from other religions and denominations. Our mission is to equip and empower the new generation to hand over the mantle which God had given to our fathers. In order to reach the communities, we have cell groups in different cities, women's ministries in different areas, Sunday school for all ages, a lively Spirit filled praise & worship, in-depth preaching and teaching of the word of God. We are a friendly, family-oriented church and we invite you to visit and experience the touch of the Lord.
